K. Chandra & Co. was established in 1976, in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. As a long-established sole proprietorship, we have consistently maintained our tradition of treating every client with equal importance. Our doors have always been open to those seeking legal assistance, no matter how big or small the matter.

Tasha Prasheela Chandra

The youngest child of the late K. Chandra Kurup, Tasha studied and completed her LL.B (Hons) degree at Oxford Brookes University, and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2010. She then returned to Malaysia to complete her pupillage and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2012.

Tasha began her practice within the Intellectual Property department of one of the largest law firms in Kuala Lumpur, where she handled various Intellectual Property matters including copyright and trademark prosecution. She also has experience assisting clients in the enforcement of Intellectual Property rights in Malaysia via civil and criminal proceedings.

Tasha joined K. Chandra & Co. in 2015 and has expanded her areas of practice to include general civil litigation, conveyancing and family law. She also regularly represents clients at court-led mediation, and advocates alternative dispute resolution, where possible. Tasha took over the management of the firm in 2016 and continues to serve both corporate and individual clients.​

​​​K. CHANDRA KURUP (1944 – 2016)

K. Chandra Kurup completed his LL.B (Hons) degree at the University of Singapore and was called to the Malayan Bar in 1971. His early years of practice was under the guidance of Dato’ S.P. Seenivasagam at the legal firm of Dato’ S.P. Seenivasagam & Co. in Jalan Hang Lekiu, Kuala Lumpur. It was not long after that K. Chandra established his own firm, K. Chandra & Co. in 1976, having gained invaluable experience from his years with Dato’ S.P. Seenivasagam.

Having been in practice for over 40 years, K. Chandra’s areas of expertise included both conveyancing and litigation. He handled a wide array of cases that includes criminal law, family law, probate and trusts, personal injury, company and commercial disputes, employment and conveyancing. He is also a registered Patent and Trademark agent.

K. Chandra was the Chairman of the Selangor and Federal Territory Bar Committee in 1991/92, and was actively involved in the Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee and the Bar Council. He also served as one of the Chairmen of the Disciplinary Committees of the Advocates and Solicitors Disciplinary Board.

K. Chandra sadly passed away in 2016, and is survived by his wife and four children.
